In partnership with Cari Ingrassia, Girl Talk was an interactive "blanket fort" installation highlighting the experiences of teen girls in our community. Poetry about the "secrets" of girls, written and performed by young women, were installed into objects associated with archetypical girlhood: a doll, a telephone, a mirror, and a diary. The installation also featured live spoken word performance from some of the participants of the project.
Presented at University of Oregon's EMU, Girl Talk was a part of this year's Platform Festival which focused on marginalized voices.
